What do you consider when writing curriculum for your art courses?
I try to think about the different types of learners and how I can change my teaching to try to meet all of their needs. I like to give lots of examples and also show how you can use some of the skills in their futures whether it be in school or in their future careers.
Things to always consider when thinking of projects to put in curriculum: Background and religion, long term goals, prior knowledge, special or diverse needs, materials in the classroom, the art and design standards, life skills, variety of subject matter, scope and sequence, integration with other subjects, students interests, my strengths as a teacher.
